I like to chronicle when there are bath scenes in TV series but my memory of this even though I watched it all isn't so good since it was a while back. I assume Erastes Fulmen bathes prior to his demise, and The Stolen Eagle mentions Atia taking one. Do you happen to know if any of the more major characters have any bathing scenes, particularly Cleopatra or Anthony?
S1: Ep1 - Atia takes a bath and has a conversation with Octavian.
S1: Ep4 - Antony is being given a bath as he stands nude in a courtyard
S1: Ep5 - Vorenus meets Erastes Fulmen in a bathhouse. Not really a bath, but a sauna.
S2: Ep1 - Antony is briefly seen exiting the bath at Atia's villa after surviving the assassination attempt against him. --- Also, Erastes Fulmen is in the bathhouse (sauna) when he is killed by Vorenus.
S2: Ep2 - Atia and Antony share a bath together.
S2: Ep3 - Atia and Antony again share a bath. ---- Brutus, drunk and disgusting wades into a lake and "baptizes" himself. (I guess that's a bath).
S2: Ep6 - Octavia and Agrippa take a primtive shower together at a brothel.
Almost thought Octavion had one for a second but misread, Atia takes it alone while conversing with him and the S2E6 one's Octavia. Thanks for your help. I do know Cleopatra does have some scenes in the 1970 anime film though :)
Hey! Yes, lots and lots of edits. Before I took over this wiki it had all of 20 edits and 13 pages or something like that. It's been a ton of work but hopefully it will be worth it in the end. Rome was too good of a show to not have a Wikia page.
Its how i grew up, my mom made sure i didnt watch any shows or play any games the ratings said i couldnt. once i turned 17 (i was about 13 when Rome was on BTW) mom relaxed and let me find my own shows and games more freely.
I am gratfull i didnt grow up with the same "filth" as my mom called it my friends did, I feel im better for it, but now that im almost 21, im behind on al the good stuff, so most of what i watch are shows that got canned or stuff like that.
I might add Rome to my already long list, i still have Breaking bad, The cape, and Dexter to catch up on...i really need a real life, i watch far to much TV.
I can certainly understand how you grew up. I came from a religious household and the only things we could watch up until I was 15 or so was History Channel, TLC, or Discovery Channel. I definitely attribute my intelligence level to that.
And there is no "might" about adding Rome. That's an absolute must. Rome has a gladiator execution scene that has more drama than any arena scene in our beloved Spartacus.
Soldier of Caesar's famed 13th Legion is sentenced to die in the arena:
